image_pdfSave as PDFimage_printPrint Page

This is an enticing blend of fresh fruits mixed with just a hint of sugar.

Celebrate the sweetness of spring by topping off some Greek yogurt or granola with this warm concoction…or if you’ve got a real sweet tooth, our berry coulis goes great on ice cream and pancakes!

What You’ll Need
1 cup fresh strawberries, divided
1 cup fresh raspberries, divided
1 cup fresh blueberries, divided
1 cup fresh blackberries, divided
¼ cup sugar
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

What to Do:
Place half of each berry in medium size saucepan.

Add sugar and lemon and let stand until juices are released, tossing occasionally, 20 – 30 minutes.

Bring berry mixture to a simmer over medium-high heat.

Reduce heat to medium and simmer uncovered until berries are soft, about 10 minutes. Strain through mesh strainer into bowl pressing to reduce as much juice as possible. Discard solids.

Return berry mixture to same saucepan, add remaining berries. Over medium heat warm berries for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
