Exploring San Diego

There are so many fun and interesting experiences to explore in San Diego. And of course, being a super foodie anything having to do with food and wine has my immediate attention. I recently had a wonderful experience with some of my old  Les Dames Escoffiere friends. Geri coordinated a visit for us with Rie and David Sims who own this fabulous Polynesian restaurant, Warung Rie Rie that is actually in their backyard!!

Rie and Dave have created the most unique space and are cooking up some extraordinary Polynesian food. They imported their rice house all the way from Bali. And they have created the most gorgeous tropical garden and source all their ingredients locally. Rie and Dave are committed to providing each of their guest an authentic and delicious Polynesian experience.

Rie and Dave were the first fully MEHKO ( micro enterprise home kitchen ) licensed restaurant in San Diego!

It was a wonderful morning learning about their business and hearing their inspiring story.
