Lemons are one of my most favorite ingredients and adding it to your pesto just adds another layer of flavor. Try it with limes instead of lemons for a zestier taste, and use any type of nut you desire!
What You’ll Need:
4 cups fresh basil leaves
2 teaspoons fresh garlic, minced,
3 Tablespoons pine nut or any nut of your choice
2 Tablespoons fresh lemon or lime juice
1 teaspoon sea salt
¼ teaspoon fresh ground pepper
½ cup olive oil
What to Do:
In a food processor, add all ingredients except olive oil. Process all ingredients until finely chopped. Slowly add olive oil and process until pesto is at a nice consistency. Then, voila! You’ve got a delicious pesto that can be added to any pasta, protein or starch. The possibilities are endless!
