Things have been heating up in the Lajollacooks4u kitchen this summer, as we welcomed Vistage into our La Jolla-based venue last week. The executive coaching organization brought 11 of its team members to participate in one of our signature team-building events.
After participating in a series of icebreakers, the group split into two teams and got down to business in the kitchen, preparing their assigned menu items and showcasing them in “infomercial” form. Both teams had a blast cooking and competing against each other, and even brought little trophies for each team member to show that each of them was a winner.
Vistage’s COO, David Pearson, wrote, “What a fantastic event! Outstanding host and such a beautiful home. We hope to come back again soon!”
In fact, we just booked an event next month for another one of Vistage’s departments to visit – truly a testament to the outstanding service and experience Lajollacooks4u provides for its guests!
Later in the week, we hosted a family visiting from Texas for an evening of cooking and delicious food. Jon Cannon brought his wife, four sons, daughter-in-law and five-month-old grandson to experience California cuisine at its finest. The family cooked up a dinner consisting of Beef Tenderloin and Ribeye Steaks with an Herb Mustard Sauce, along with a delicious Grilled Salmon with a Miso Ginger Sauce. Dessert was one of our favorites: Strawberry Napoleons.
The group had such a great time that Diane Cannon exclaimed that it was the “highlight of our week in San Diego!”
