We’ve kicked off the Fall Season with a bang last week when we hosted a finance team from San Diego and a marketing team from Dallas for some good old-fashioned team-building fun!
The finance company brought 12 of their executives for our signature four-course cooking challenge. After participating in a series of ice breakers, they split off into teams and got busy preparing their assigned menu items. The groups even had customized aprons so everyone looked and played the part!
Later in the week, the marketing company brought 18 folks in for our three-course cooking challenge. Together, they prepared and dined on delicious Surf and Turf, Smashed Truffle Potatoes and our Decadent Melting Cakes. One of the team’s managers exclaimed, “Such a great time with our coworkers! Everyone had so much fun!” Another team member said, “Wonderful experience and amazing food!”
Over the weekend we hosted two charming couples visiting from Saskatchewan, Canada. Lori, Kevin, Auralee and Murdoch travel together each year and came across Lajollacooks4u as one of the most highly rated activities in San Diego!
Together they made Seasonal Roasted Pumpkin Soup, Seared Swordfish Steaks with a Tomato Saffron Sauce and a delicious Apple Tartan for dessert.
Lori wrote, “Thank you so much, Jodi, for inspiring us to cook beautiful meals for our family! Everything was so delicious and you were so fun to spend the evening with. We will enjoy the cookbook immensely.”
