November has been a busy month of team building! Most recently, we hosted 12 members of Illumina – who’s been a guest of ours multiple times – to a fun and delicious afternoon of culinary team-building.
The group was split into two teams, who challenged each other in preparing a variety of different menu items, such as Herb-Crusted Beef Tenderloin and Herb-Crusted Chicken Breast. Dessert was our signature Chocolate Melting Cakes – always a big hit among our guests! We were even able to accommodate those needing gluten-free alternatives.
Danielle Jackson, Illumina’s Director of Integrated Marketing Content and Channels spearheaded the group outing and said, “We loved our event! It was a great opportunity to work together, create something new and bond as a team!”
Later in the week we then hosted Arena Pharmaceuticals. Doug Bakan, Arena’s Executive Vice President of Technical Operations, brought his fabulous team of 14 for a fun-filled evening of cooking and team-building.
At the start of the evening, the group played various icebreakers to form three vivacious teams. Then, each team began preparing their menu items, which included Zucchini Caponata, Homemade Focaccia and a succulent Herb-Crusted Grilled Salmon with a Caper Vinaigrette on a bed of Orzo and Feta. To top off the delicious evening, dessert was Goat Cheese Mousse-filled Cannolis with Chocolate Sauce.
Doug and the rest of the team was truly impressed with the staff at Lajollacooks4u and all that we have to offer. He said, “Thank you to you and your team for an exceptional experience! Our team had a fantastic time bonding over a delicious meal in a spectacular setting. Here’s to many more fun times!”
Thank you to Illumina and Arena Pharmaceuticals. We hope to see all of you back again in the Lajollacooks4u kitchen very soon!
