We had an international group join us in our kitchen last week, as we hosted Mackay CEO Forums! The Canada-based CEO development program brought 11 of its CEO members – all from a variety of industries – in to enjoy our gourmet five course meal and wine-pairing cooking program.
To kick off the evening, the group played a series of icebreakers to form into teams and then assembled into the kitchen to start cooking!
Chef Leo Ranks, Lajollacooks4u star chef, put together an amazing feast, beginning with our signature Quesadillas with Seasonal Pears and Manchego and a Seasonal Salad with Oranges and Fennel in a Sherry Vinaigrette as appetizers. The main course consisted of Grilled Beef Tenderloin with a Wine Sauce, Grilled Shrimp Skewers and Roasted Broccolini with Artichokes. Chef Leo also helped the group prepare our Wild Mushroom Farro Risotto, which everyone went crazy for! And last but not least, our Chocolate Melting Cakes were served for dessert.
Everyone had an amazing time bonding with their team and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious California cuisine that was prepared. The entire group even purchased cookbooks so they could recreate our meals at home!
