June has been all about team-building events at Lajollacooks4u, as we hosted two large groups in our kitchen last week!
The first company to join us was Rivulis Irrigation, a global irrigation equipment supplier with an office in San Diego. Its President of the North American region, Fabien Kelbert, brought 13 of his employees along with him for an evening of great food, collaboration and team building. After splitting up into teams and preparing their assigned menu items, the group enjoyed the delicious California cuisine while taking in the beautiful backdrop of La Jolla. At the end of the night, Fabien bought every team member a copy of Chef Jodi’s cookbook – the perfect memento for an unforgettable evening!
Rivulis team member, Nanette Doolittle, exclaimed, “What a wonderful evening with fun activities, cooking great recipes with Chef Jodi and then enjoying with my workmates! Such a fantastic time!”
Next to join us was Datto, a backup and software recovery vendor, whose home base is in San Diego. Twenty-two of its project managers arrived by bus to our venue, ready to engage in some friendly competition! Splitting off into groups after a series of icebreakers, this group really took competition to a new level, as they prepared the various menu items in their allotted amount of time. Afterwards, they bonded over the great food and great company as they enjoyed the sunset atop Mount Soledad.
