Last week, we hosted Janssen Pharmaceuticals in a venue of their choosing – the Hilton Torrey Pines – for our signature Foodie Truck cooking challenge!
Piet De Doncker brought 16 of his team members to partake in an evening of cooking, laughter and team-building fun!
The group broke out into two teams and competed against each other by making their own food truck. The red team created a Mexican food truck, complete with authentic Mexican recipes, like short rib tacos, salsa, guacamole and corn and bean salad. The blue team was tasked with creating a Mediterranean food truck, where they prepared menu items, like Chicken Shawarma, Tabouli and Hummus with Tzatziki Sauce. Dessert was a delicious Panna Cotta with Raspberry Sauce Shooters – a huge hit amongst the group!
Members of each team were also responsible for marketing their food truck, so while food was being prepared, those team members cut, pasted and glued in order to create the actual food truck’s appearance. Everyone had a blast collaborating with each other, as well as eating their delicious creations.
