We kicked off the New Year with a bang by welcoming Collins Aerospace, of Chula Vista, into our kitchen! Katie Isberner was looking for something unique for 21 of her team members to enjoy together and ultimately selected our signature three-course cooking challenge.
Led by our fabulous Master of Ceremonies, Adam Portnoy, the group first played several icebreakers to break into two teams. Once the teams assembled into their assigned stations, the cooking competition began!
Team members cooked a delicious Grilled Flank Steak with a Dijon Wine Sauce and a fabulous Sun-Dried Tomato and Artichoke Pesto that was enjoyed over salmon. In addition, the two teams also prepared Cauliflower Steaks to accommodate the vegetarians.
One team member, Jason, said, “seriously one of the finest team-building events I’ve ever been a part of” while another team member, Stephanie, said “Great job! Loved the opportunity to be with our team in a new way, creating something delicious together!”
The group had a blast, and the prepared menu items were a huge hit. In fact, Collins Aerospace enjoyed the cooking challenge so much that they already booked a second team-building cooking event for another one of their teams in February! What a great way to kick off 2020!
