From team building to birthdays, to return visits and gourmet getaways- Lajollacooks4u saw it all during August! Because we are such in awe over August's guests, we decided to run through them all!
First up, the sweet and charming Conway women joined Lajollacooks4u for a two-day Weekend Culinary Adventure.
Chef Jodi traveled with the mother-daughter pair to local Farmer's Markets to discuss healthy eating and the Slow Food movement. Then the two got to cooking!
After their two-day San Diego foodie adventure, the two shared with Chef Jodi how they loved the fresh produce found at the Farmer's Markets and that they had a "fabulous time cooking" and amassing numerous tips and tricks in Chef Jodi's private, home kitchen.
Second to join us this August was the totally awesome team behind Alliant Credit Union!
The financial cooperative, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, brought their team members to San Diego for the LPL Financial: focus 2014. Following the three-day work conference, colleagues and spouses joined Lajollacooks4u for a cooking and dining retreat.
The result was one of the best team building experiences Alliant AND Lajollacooks4u had ever experienced!
One of the guests shared in Chef Jodi's guest book, "We came as a team to get together after a long and information-filled conference. How wonderful it was to relax…and to have this unique and fun experience. My team loves to laugh, but they were having out-of-control fun!”
Thanks also to the help of guest chef, Chris Gardner of Volunteers of America Southwest, the 20 person, large event was an absolute blast.
Next, Lajollacooks4u hosted a Girls Gourmet Getaway!
Three lovely ladies, Debra, Sibyl and Julia, escaped to Lajollacooks4u for a mini foodie vacation. These three requested a solidly vegetarian menu, which Chef Jodi easily accommodated.
The veggie dishes were outstanding and delicious! The ladies were all in agreement: this was an awesome girls gourmet getaway.
Round Two at Lajollacooks4u for the Binning couple, and their second visit was just as delicious as the first!
This time Mike and Debby brought two friends Tarrell and Pat to celebrate Mike's special 60th birthday.
Debby left this note for Chef Jodi, "The class and dinner was wonderful! Hope to come again next year!" We certainly can't wait to have them join us again.
Finally, Lajollacooks4u celebrated a double birthday with Julie and her sister-in-law Cora.
The two beautiful ladies cooked a delicious meal together, bonding over great gourmet food. The two could not get enough of the yummy meal they had worked together to create. Good thing we sent them home with recipe booklets. Now they can recreate at home those dishes they learned to make here!
