Lajollacooks4u’s first themed cooking class with Chai @ Beth El was a success!

Nine participants of Congregation Beth El’s young adult group, Chai @ Beth El,  joined Chef Jodi in her kitchen to try their hand at preparing, and then dining on, an delicious Asian cuisine-themed menu.

IMG_2579The amazing Asian menu first tasked the group with preparing the appetizer of Vegetarian Pot Stickers. Next came the main entree of Miso Glazed Fish accompanied with Sesame Fried Rice. For dessert? The group prepared (and devoured) scrumptious melting cakes.

Although some of the participants had some experience cooking and many others had relatively little, the group unanimously agreed that they had all learned a great deal from Chef Jodi at Lajollacooks4u.

This was only the first of the four class series. Many participants were inspired to sign up for the upcoming classes, featuring three more international menus: Latin, Moroccan, and Californian.

The group could hardly wait for the next cooking class at Lajollacooks4u! Lucky for them, the next class has been scheduled for next week: Wednesday, February 19th from 6 – 9 p.m.

And we are just as excited to have Chai @ Beth El join us in our kitchen, again.
