Delicious and a great alternative to classic burgers, serve with a cucumber yogurt sauce.
What You’ll Need:
1 pound ground lamb or beef
½ red onions, diced, with one sliced for garnish
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ teaspoon dry dill
1 ½ teaspoon dry oregano
½ teaspoon cumin
Zest of ½ lemon, with a pinch of crushed red pepper
1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
What to Do:
Preheat grill. In a large bowl, combine lamb or beef, diced onion mixture, dill, oregano cumin, salt, crushed red pepper and lemon zest. Combine well.
Form the lamb or beef by hand into 4 equal-sized patties. Grill burgers, or pan sear, to your desired doneness, 4 to 5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove the burgers from the grill and let rest for 3 minutes.
Serve with a cucumber yogurt sauce and pita bread.
