Roasted Cauliflower Steaks with Saffron
1 large Cauliflower
1/3 cup olive oil
½ teaspoon saffron threads,
1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
¼ teaspoon fresh ground pepper
Preheat oven to 425 degrees
In a small mixing bowl add olive oil, saffron threads, salt and pepper and mix well.
Remove core from cauliflower and slice into ½ inch steaks.
Place the cauliflower steaks onto a baking sheet. Using a pastry brush, brush olive oil mixture on both sides of each cauliflower steak.
Place tray in oven roast for 10 minutes, then turn each slice over and roast another 10 minutes until steaks are tender.
