A couple weeks ago, Chef Jodi attended a pop up dinner at Gianni Buonomo Vintners, a winery in Ocean Beach. Chef Max Farina, of Zafferano Catering, was the guest chef and prepared an exquisite Italian menu, with each course paired with locally made wines from Gianni Buonomo.
Chef Jodi learned that Chef Max recently relocated from Italy, where he studied under several Two Star Michelan Chefs. Now in San Diego, he launched Zafferano Catering, which serves authentic Italian food using the finest local ingredients.
