Chef Jodi is passionate about feeding the hungry, so last weekend, she attended Feeding San Diego’s fourth annual Pairings with a Purpose, a signature spring fundraising event that brought together 50 of the best local breweries, wineries, distilleries and restaurants for the ultimate culinary experience. She brought along her dear friend, nutritionist Ann Jaffe, and together they enjoyed a delicious afternoon of tastings, with all proceeds going to a great cause.
Feeding San Diego is the leading hunger-relief organization in San Diego County, serving more than 63,000 people every week through a network of 245 distribution partners, including local charities, schools, faith communities, and food pantries. Through a highly efficient model focused on capturing wholesome food before it goes to waste, every dollar donated helps provide four nutritious meals for the one in eight San Diegans facing hunger. To date, the Pairings with a Purpose event has raised enough funds to provide more than one million meals for children, families and seniors facing hunger.
