This has been a very busy month here at Lajollacooks4u. Not only did we welcome two very large groups into the kitchen, but we also have been hustling to create our first ever cookbook!
What an exiting month July has been. We just can't wait to see what August brings. The ride never ends!
Mid-July brought a lovely group of people to Lajollacooks4u. The NERA Group, an international economic consulting company, planned a charming spouse and family cooking event for their employees. The families had come from near and far, places like New Zealand and Australia, just to get a taste of Lajollacooks4u's one-of-a-kind cooking and dining experience….and we were more than elated to have them!
Chef Jodi was thrilled with the afternoon's turn-out. Everyone in the group was so incredibly excited to partake in the hands-on experience, which was evident in their willingness to learn...and chow down!
The families were smiling from ear-to-ear as they enjoyed their homemade five-course meals. Their lunch-in menu consisted of Tomato, Pesto, and Mozzarella Puff Pastry Tarts, Blackened Chicken and Salmon with Chimichurri, Quinoa with Black Beans, Cilantro and Corn, and for dessert, a gorgeous Lemon Creme Brulee Tart with Fresh Raspberries. That's definitely worth drooling over!
A little later in the month, Lawyer group, Mintz Levin, planned an elegant dinner for their summer associates. But as anyone who's ever walked through Chef Jodi's doors will tell you, this is definitely not your average dining experience!
The Mintz Levin group with out a doubt cooked up a serious storm. Everyone was very engaged and excited to take ownership of cooking up the amazing menu Chef Jodi had planned. Their competitive nature really kicked in as they excelled in mastering their chef skills.
Mintz Levin kicked butt and were more than happy to show us that they really know how to get things done. We can't even imagine how driven they'd be in the courtroom!
But even with all of their competitive and driven nature, the group didn't forget to let loose and goof off ever now and then. They definitely were having a blast team-building at Lajollacooks4u.
When the cooking had come to an end, the Mintz Levin summer associates were stoked to sit down and enjoy the fruits of their labor. Their elegant five-course menu featured a beautiful Avocado and Mango Salad with Spiced Nuts in a Parmesan Basket and a scrumptious Berry Crisp with a Vanilla Goat Cheese Mousse. Everything looked beautiful!
It was truly an unforgettable night. Dawn, a member of the Mintz Levin team, was blown away by the evening's turn-out. "Absolutely fabulous," she said. "Thank you so much for hosting our event and making sure all of us had a memorable experience. Tonight was truly amazing."
We loved having this lovely group of lawyers here at Lajollacooks4u. We hope to see them again soon!
This month has been crazy. We've worked endlessly to compile an awesome and very hearty manuscript worthy of our Lajollacooks4u fans. The team has been collaborating day in and day out to decide on recipes, designs, photographs, and all of those creative little tidbits that make for a great cookbook. Who had any idea there was so much to do???!!!
We can't wait to share this amazing accomplishment with our fans. Chef Jodi is so grateful to her guests and staff for helping to get this book in action. It's a major step towards a series of amazing cookbooks Chef Jodi has planned for the near future. Make sure you keep an eye out, Chef Jodi's stunning cookbook will be here before you know it...and we promise that just looking at the cover will make your mouth water!
