Ever since we wrapped up summer, we couldn’t wait to dish out this perfect-for-fall dessert!

This recipe is Paleo-approved, Vegan, Vegetarian, and just downright delicious! During these upcoming fall months, stock up on Bosc pears and Granny Smith apples – this is one dish you won’t be able to get enough of!

What You’ll Need:

3 Granny Smith apples – peeled, cut in half, and cored

3 Bosc pears, cut in half and cored (do not peel)

1/3 cup coconut sugar

1 Tablespoon cinnamon

1/3 cup of raisins

1/3 cup of dried cherries or cranberries

1/3 cup of chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, almonds, or a mix)

What to Do:

Preheat oven to 375.

In a small mixing bowl, combine coconut sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.

In another mixing bowl, mixed dried fruit and nuts, and sprinkle two Tablespoons of sugar mixture.

Take two glass Pyrex dishes and pour 1/3 cup of water into each of the glass pans and add 2 tablespoons of sugar mixture, whisk until well blended.

Place apples into one of the glass Pyrex dish, and fill the hollowed cores of the apples with the cinnamon-sugar and fruit mixture. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 40 minutes or until apples are very tender.

Repeat same process with pears, and bake for 30 minutes.
